We merged a dataset of 139 countries with complete data from the WEF dataset to collect the ICTAd, B2B, MOD and ORG conditions available with 64 countries with complete information on the outcome -entrepreneurial innovation- from GEM dataset. After merging the WEF and GEM datasets, the final sample comprised 61 countries with complete information. Consistent with framing entrepreneurial innovation as a consequence of the conditions discussed previously, we explored the possibility of having causal combinations of two or more conditions, including ICTAd, B2B, organizational innovation, and business model innovation, which enable entrepreneurial innovation to occur. The conditions in the dataset were calibrated between “0” and “1” to represent fuzzy-set memberships. Following Verkuilen (2005), we pre-specified three values for the membership calibrated function: 1) a threshold for full membership, 95th percentile of original data; 2) a threshold for full non-membership, 5th percentile of original data, and 3) a crossover or neutral point, at the 50th percentile of original data.
