Plastic mulching mapping

Description

This dataset provides high-resolution (10-meter) spatial distribution maps of plastic film mulching (PM) and severe soil salinization in the Hetao Irrigation District (HID), Inner Mongolia, China. The dataset covers an area of approximately 12,000 km² for the years 2020 and 2024. Derived from Sentinel-2 satellite imagery time series, these maps capture the spatial extent of spring mulch application and persistent severe salinity, providing explicit spatial information on the co-occurrence of these two agricultural and environmental factors.
