Pilot data supporting reliability and validity of a brief questionnaire to assess recreation screen time among undergraduates in China

Description

Fifty-nine college students engaged in the pilot study. The mean age of participants was 20.27 (male 20.25; female 20.36). Table 2 shows ICC (95% CI) for total week by each recreation screen time sedentary behavior. The ICC values of all recreation activities were all > 0.70. Table 3 shows ICC (95% CI) of each recreational behavior for total week by gender. The ICC values of all recreation activities among gender were all > 0.70. Table 4 shows the paired samples T test between pre and post of each recreation screen time behavior. The values of p were all > 0.05. The outcomes showed that items in the back-translated version were clear with Kappa value was 0.85 (p < 0.01). The average recreation screen time was 423.52 (SD = 102.22) mins each day recorded by logbook and 384.07 (SD = 99.32) based on RSTQ. Pearson correlation coefficient was r = 0.49 (p<0.01). The average recreation screen time was 445.53 (SD = 93.25) for male and 327.50 (SD = 85.26) for female per day according to logbook. And that of representation by RSTQ was 400.10 (SD = 99.86) mins for male and 314.09 (SD = 61.05) mins for female.
