Description

These are the raw data, sedation scoring matrix, and statistical analyses of a prospective, randomized, crossover, drug study. Each horse received 4 treatments with a minimum 13 day washout period. Our hypothesis was that the use of vatinoxan (a peripherally acting alpha2 antagonist) would reduce or prevent the insulin and glucose fluctuations induced by the alpha2 agonist, detomidine.
