PE EE OC 2022 NURSES SURVEY
Description
Aim: This research examined how psychological empowerment, employee engagement, and organizational commitment affect registered nurses in Indian hospitals. Background: Health care relies on nurses. Nurse involvement improves job performance and organizational commitment. According to Self Determination Theory, workers who feel autonomous and encouraged at work are more likely to sense competence and relatedness, which might boost their intrinsic motivation. According to the JD-R paradigm, job resources including autonomy and social support (components of psychological empowerment) increase employee engagement and good work results (organizational commitment). Method: Cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational, and multistage cluster sampling were used. 347 RNs were polled. The search was done in September 2022. Individuals completed self-administered questions. Results: Nurses engaged averagely. Among the three subscales measuring employee involvement, the dedication subscale received the highest score. Employee engagement was shown to be positively connected with psychological empowerment and organizational commitment (p < .01). Conclusion: Employee engagement was positively associated to psychological empowerment and organizational commitment.
