Description

This study was conducted from January 2015 to January 2017 in the Department of General and Emergency surgery of "A. Rizzoli" Hospital, Lacco Ameno Naples, Italy. All the surgeries were performed by the same surgeon. Patients were randomized into 3 groups based on the length of the BPL measured from the ligament of Traits: Group A 150 cm, Group B 180 cm, and Group C 200 cm. Early results were obtained at 2 years follow-up. The primary aim was to compare weight loss outcomes of OAGB-200 cm BPL (Group A) and OAGB-150 cm BPL (Group B). The secondary aim was to compare co-morbidity resolution outcomes, nutritional parameters, and morbidity/mortality of the three procedures.
