Description

This dataset contains the raw data of attitudes, judgments, and attributions by young adult perceivers following the viewing of nine older adult speakers giving 5-minute speeches. The statements that perceivers used to judge the older adult videos is based on the framework of the Stereotype Content Model (i.e., judgments of warmth and competence; Fiske, Cuddy, Glick, & Xu, 2002). In addition, two age-related stereotype scales are included: the Fraboni Scale of Ageism (Fraboni, Saltstone, and Hughes, 1990) and the Refined-Aging Semantic Differential Scale (Polizzi & Millikin, 2002).
