Eye movements dataset for objective-based assessment of object-oriented programming knowledge
Description
An Eye Movements dataset for Objective Assessment (EMOA) to observe the learners program-solving skills in a objective assessment for object oriented programming knowledge. The dataset consists of fixation, saccade and blink details of the learners while they were participating in an assessment. The dataset can be used to provide insights into what factors influenced the learner performance and also evaluate their performance. The learners were assessed for their understanding of basic programming concepts in Java Programming. Five Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ) were given and the students Think Aloud the right answer. The response were recorded manually by the experimenter. The eye gaze data was collected using SMI Redn Professional 60HZ eye tracker. The experiment was setup using the SMI Experimental suite 360 and analyzed using BeGaze software. The dataset consists of three files- EMOADemographics.csv,EMOAEventData.csv and EMOASemanticData.csv. EMOAEventData consists of event data like total fixation, saccades and blink details. EMOASemanticData consists of semantic information derived from various Area of Interest in an MCQ like Question, OptionA, OptionB, OptionC, OptionD and the Keyword. EMOADemographics consists of demographic information of the learners.
