All players involved in a business must need to measure business firm’s efficiency. In this study data envelopment analysis (DEA) has been conducted for efficiency assessment. The DEA approach can manage several inputs and outputs. The current study presented the DEA model for assessing performance. This study selected panel data of 8 steel companies from India belongs to public and private sector to express the advantage of DEA model in measuring competence with quantitative supervision for strategy formulation and for analysing the performance of such selected steel companies.
