Description

This dataset contains mitochondrial DNA control region sequences (366 bp) and multilocus microsatellite genotypes generated for the Cortez rainbow wrasse (Thalassoma lucasanum) across seven localities in the Mexican Pacific. The mtDNA dataset comprises 145 sequences representing nine haplotypes, while the microsatellite dataset includes genotypes from four loci scored across the same individuals. These data were used to assess genetic diversity, demographic history, and population connectivity in this reef fish species.
