Description

Supplementary Dataset for the publication entitled "A state-of-the-art guide to the sterilization of thermoplastic polymers and resin materials used in the additive manufacturing of medical devices" , including the detailed results of mechanical tests, DSC-TGA measurements and the images of scanning electron microscopy. If this dataset is being used in any publication, please cite the original article as well. Main folder: Supplementary. Supplementary folder includes the settings used for 3D printing (1_Printing parameters), the protocol diagram for the statistical analysis in case of mechanical testing (2_Protocol diagram of mechanical statistics), the summary of sterilization methods (3_Summary of sterilization protocols), image of the white resin test specimen before and after dry heat sterilization (4_White resin - before and after dry heat), the detailed results of mechanical tests (5_Mechanical_Results.xls; all materials of different sheets within the file), figures related to the mechanical test of ABS and HIPS materials (6_ABS diagram; 7_HIPS diagram) DSC-TGA measurements (8_DSC-TGA_Results.docx) and the images of scanning electron microscopy (SEM_Pictures folder). Within the SEM_Pictures folder, images are deposited by the type of material, and each material has images about the broken surface ("Fracture") and intact surface ("Surface"). Photo about white resin test speciment is included in the main folder, before, and after dry heat sterilization (White resin- Before and after dry heat.jpg).
