Included are the data sets and syntax files for Studies 1 and 2. Because I used HLM to analyze the data, these models required creating a level one and level 2 file for each dataset. Thus, the datasets labeled "before restructure" include all of the data, whereas the files labeled "lvl1" or "lvl2" refer to the level one and level two files, respectively.

Steps to reproduce

The syntax files describe the creation of variables. The "beforerestructure" files were restructured to create the Level 1 files (reflecting participants' repeated responses and the conditions). Level 2 files include between-person variables (e.g., ideology, etc.).
