Description

This research aims to assess the readiness of Polish firms to implement advanced analytics and big data in order to achieve a lasting competitive advantage. Therefore, the research questions for investigation are: (1) Do managers understand the term “big data”; (2) are they aware of big data analytical potential and its possible advantages; (3) how are companies prepared to make use of big data analytics (do they see any obstacles to implement BDA). The findings outlined in the report are derived from a study carried out in June 2024, employing the quantitative research methodology. The data gathering strategy included online CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interview) and encompassed a purposefully selected sample of 300 Polish managers. The primary findings of the research indicate that managers require a roadmap to facilitate their adoption of sophisticated big data analytics. Furthermore, the transient nature of big data, as well as the prominent influence of the time element in the features and analytics of BD, is clearly evident in the thoughts of the respondents.
