Description

The dataset presented is drone-based high-resolution hyperspectral imagery acquired over the experimental agricultural plots set up at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru. The agriculture plot consists of three crops- tomato, cabbage and eggplant, cultivated during the Rabi season from January to May. The datasets were acquired by a compact hyperspectral imager (Cubert FireflEYE 185) at various heights ranging from 20 m to 100 m during 2017 and 2018. We have also acquired the terrestrial hyperspectral image of the plot mounting a pushbroom hyperspectral imager (Headwall Photonics, Series A) on a felxible tripod. The datasets are valuable for precision agriculture studies such as fine-resolution crop detection, nutrient estimation, automatic crop identification, etc.
