Description

There are five data files (in csv format) that were used in the analyses of the above-mentioned manuscript. The structures of the data files are listed below with detailed descriptions of their contents. 1. 01_copy_number_defense_response_to_fungus.csv: 'data.frame': 99 obs. of 131 variables 02_copy_number_defense_response_to_bacterium.csv: 'data.frame': 99 obs. of 218 variables 03_copy_number_defense_response_to_insect.csv: 'data.frame': 99 obs. of 8 variables 04_copy_number_defense_response_to_virus.csv: 'data.frame': 99 obs. of 47 variables description of variables for the four data frames: SPCODE: species code included in the study. species: latin name of species. the column for 3 to the last one refers to the homologous gene cluster ID. 2. 05_seeding_neighborhood_variables.csv: 'data.frame': 20224 obs. of 22 variables description of variables for the data frame: YEAR: the year recorded the focal seedling. TRAP: the trap where the focal seedling located in. PLOT: the plot where the focal seedling located in. PLOTID: the plot ID named after the trap. TAG: the tag labeled the focal seedling IDSEEDL: the ID of the focal seedling named after the trap, the plot and the tag. fSPCODE: species code of the focal seedling. species: latin name of the focal seedling. HT: height of the focal seedling. SUR1y: alive(1) or dead (0) of the focal seedling after one year. seedl.constd: the standardized number of conspecific seedlings. seedl.hetstd: the standardized number of heterospecific seedlings. BA.constd: the standardized basal area of conspecific adults. BA.hetstd: the standardized basal area of heterospecific adults. sNTFDstdB: the standardized nearest taxon functional distance on defense response to bacterium for neighbor seedlings. aNTFDstdB: the standardized nearest taxon functional distance on defense response to bacterium for neighbor adults. sNTFDstdF: the standardized nearest taxon functional distance on defense response to fungus for neighbor seedlings. aNTFDstdF: the standardized nearest taxon functional distance on defense response to fungus for neighbor adults. sNTFDstdI: the standardized nearest taxon functional distance on defense response to insect for neighbor seedlings. aNTFDstdI: the standardized nearest taxon functional distance on defense response to insect for neighbor adults. sNTFDstdV: the standardized nearest taxon functional distance on defense response to virus for neighbor seedlings. aNTFDstdV: the standardized nearest taxon functional distance on defense response to virus for neighbor adults.
