Firstly, the temporary middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO) rat model was established, and PAS840 was administered as a therapeutic intervention. Subsequently, the subsequent assessment of brain injury in ischemic stroke (IS) rats by TTC staining, pathological section analysis, and Nissl body staining. 16S rRNA sequencing was used to detect the gut microbiota, and non-targeted metabolomics was used to analyze the intestinal contents to explore the effects of PAS840 on the IS rat gut microbiota and microbiota metabolites. Additionally, brain tissue transcriptomics were integrated to explore the potential mechanism of action underlying the efficacy of PAS840 against IS.
