PXR activation in 3T3L1 and NIH3T3 fibroblasts
Description
These data demonstrate the effects of pregnenolone 16a-carbonitrile, a pregnane x receptor agonist, in two murine fibroblast models on fibroblast function including in vitro scratch wound healing, cellular migration, proliferation, myofibroblast differentiation, and extracellular matrix production. There data are in support of a recently submitted manuscript.

Steps to reproduce
Cells were treated for 24 to 48 hours with vehicle (DMSO 0.025%) or PCN (20 uM) then effects on in vitro scratch closure, cellular migration by Boyden chamber migration assay, proliferation by MTT assay, TGF-b1 induced myofibroblast differentiation as indicated by aSMA, Col1a1, and Col3a1 expression was assessed.
