Description

Participant-level data used in the related article. This dataset also includes further information on the data acquisition procedure. Dataset includes demographic data, data on self-reported psychiatric disorders, and responses to individual items of the Spanish versions of the Discomfort Intolerance Scale (Harrington, 2005; Medrano, Franco, & Mustaca, 2018) and Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (Pintrich & A, 1991; Roces, Tourón, & González-Torres, 1995). It also includes the calculated subscales of these two questionnaires. Regarding the information on specific disorders, it is only available for the most frequent ones to avoid the possibility of identification of subjects (specifically depression, anxiety and ADHD), and additionally, whether the participant had ever been diagnosed of any of 11 disorders which typically appear in adolescence or adulthood (depression, anxiety, social phobia, OCD, personality disorder, eating disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, substance abuse and problem gambling), or any learning difficulties (dyslexia, dyscalculia, language disorder and intellectual disability). Sample size (283 individuals in total) was divided between Adult Lower Secondary Education students (n=134) and Vocational Students (n=149).
