Medical dramas have been one of the most successful television formats since their inception. The American series New Amsterdam (2018-2023), one of the most recent in this genre, addresses contemporary challenges in healthcare. This study analyzed how the series depicts current health concerns. The five seasons of the series were examined through framing theory, identifying representations of patient demographics, diseases, diagnostic methods, treatments, prevention, and bioethical issues.
