Description

The data set is based on the ethical climate index tool developed by Arnaud (2010). It is used to measure the perception of business and engineering students in a private university regarding the ethical climate in their fields. All items are measured on a scale of one (strongly disagree) to five (strongly agree). Confirmatory factor analysis was used to demonstrate the reliability and the goodness-of-fit of the ethical climate index. Between-group analysis reveals that while no differences exist between business and engineering students on five of the dimension, engineering students have a significantly higher mean on the dimension Collective moral judgment – focus on others. The implications of this finding are discussed along with directions for future research.
