REST-COAST Sicily - SWAN+XBeach flood model results

Description

The dataset include results from a SWAN+XBeach hydro-morphodynamic modelling chain to simulate flood areas in the Cuba-Longarini case study in the South-East of Sicily (Granelli). The results show flooded areas of the beach village of Granelli due to a storm-peak sea state associated with 100 and 50 years return periods. Floods are simulated for present and two climate change projected scenarios (SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5) with two time horizons (2070 and 2100). The model was used to evaluate the performance of a range of NbS compared with a no-NbS case. The dataset include: the main inputs at the model, i.e. significant wave height and sea level rise; the simulation scenario (presence of absence of NbS) and the main output being the flooded city area.
