Canadian Cultural Institutions and Climate Action
Description
The data was collected in 2022 through a survey sent out to over 700 Canadian museums to assess the state of sustainability policies and practices in Canadian cultural institutions. The survey created a larger picture of what actions the Canadian museum sector is taking with regards to climate action and environmental sustainability. The results from the survey were used to develop an original research study as part of my master's thesis requirements.

Steps to reproduce
The survey was created based on the existing literature in the field of museums and climate change with the intent to assess the state of sustainable practices and policies in Canadian museums. Google Forms was used to create the survey and was also how responses were received. The results were read and compared against the literature to determine if the literature was lacking, or in line with what museums were undertaking in terms of climate action in the form of sustainability policies and practices. The survey was conducted in both English and French.
