Description

This data was for a study which adopted survey research design to investigate the prevalence of use of unorthodox psychoactive substances amongst secondary school students in Calabar, Nigeria. The study was guided by six research questions. The population of the study was 10,560 senior secondary students in both public and private secondary schools. The sample for the study was 700 students. In gathering data for this study, the researchers developed an instrument called Prevalence of Use of Unorthodox Psychoactive Substances Questionnaire (PUUPSQ). This 24 item instrument was validated by an Educational Psychologist, a Measurement and Evaluation expert, and a Guidance Counsellor. The data generated from the instrument is here presented.
