Dataset for dynamic capability, digital transformation and firm competitiveness

This primary dataset is framed by dynamic capability theory, to develop constructs for digital business transformation and firm competitiveness. It comprises the descriptive statistics and reliability and validity scores for five digital transformation constructs – digital sensing capability, digital seizing capability, digital reconfiguring capability, digital adoption, and digital infrastructure. It also comprises another set of five constructs for measuring firm competitiveness – competitive intelligence, distinctive competence, innovativeness, customer value orientation, and training service quality. The data were collected online via Google Forms, using a 26-item structured questionnaire administered to 373 CEOs of corporate training firms that are members of an industry training association.


Steps to reproduce

The data was acquired based on complete enumeration sampling method. The sampling frame comprised 373 firms which belonged to an association that provides corporate training to a particular industry in Nigeria. Data was collected online via Google Forms between November 2020 and February 2021. The collected data was examined for incomplete records and there were none. IBM SPSS 25 was used to analyse the data.
