Description

Complex systems analysis of collective imagination for sustainability during an "engineering fiction" learning experience in a high school classroom. A group discourse interaction episode was qualitatively coded at two levels of analysis (individual talk turns and collective imagination of discursive episodes) and analyzed using nonlinear computational analysis techniques (sliding window entropy, state space grids, and lag sequential analysis). Files: (1) CICS_Interaction_Transcript.xlsx: Coded transcript of group discourse interaction episode. (2) CICS_Interaction_Codes.csv: Analysis input file containing time-series of discourse and collective imagination codes for the interaction episode. (3) CICS_Analysis_Script.R: Script for performing sliding window entropy, state space grid, and lag sequential analyses of the discourse time series.
