Data from two experiments on distance perception in open fields. In these experiments, the observers perform the task in three conditions: i) running on a treadmill, with the visual field clear of obstacles; ii) standing on the treadmill but looking at the target through a transparent screen in which a visual stimulus that induced vection was presented; iii) standing on the treadmill with the visual field free of obstacles (control condition).
