RQ1. Do zheng zither learners prefer equal temperament against traditional intonation or intonation not in the system when learning traditional pieces? RQ2. Would the combination of auditory and vocal training effectively enhance zheng zither learners' intonation perception of traditional pieces? This study employed the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test to examine the changes in pre-test and post-test scores between the experimental and control groups. The results indicated that after a week of combined auditory and vocal training, there was a significant improvement in the zither learners' intonation perception of traditional music.
