Bethany Ostrom,

Data was used to analyze acoustic indices' ability to monitor avian populations in grasslands compared to in-person avian point-count surveys. Data includes avian point-count survey results within the Central Platte River Valley from the years 2019-2021 along with acoustic index readings paired with surveys. Acoustic recordings were collected using Wildlife Acoustics SM2+ and SM4 recorders. Six commonly studied acoustic indices were calculated for each survey. Weather data were collected using a Kestrel 3500 Weather Meter. Site-specific measurements were collected from Google Earth Pro. Metadata is included in database.
