Description

The dataset comprises 2250 thermal images obtained using a UNI-T UTi165A camera specifically for face detection, recognition, and emotion analysis purposes. Each individual in the dataset is represented by 225 facial recognition images and 450 emotion-specific images (including happy, sad, angry, normal, and surprised expressions). Spanning diverse conditions, color palettes, shooting angles, and zoom levels, the dataset offers a temperature range of -10°C to 400°C and a resolution of 19,200 pixels. This dataset stands as a crucial asset for the advancement of thermal imaging technology, facilitating algorithmic development and benchmarking for facial recognition across varied palettes. Moreover, it contributes significantly to the realm of facial motion recognition, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations across computer vision, psychology, and neuroscience domains. The dataset's availability promotes transparency in thermal face detection and recognition research, offering wide-ranging applications in fields such as security, healthcare, and human-computer interaction."
