Description

TXT file: CNC code employed with a Galil PCI-1842 controller card. Data are stated in controller counts (512 counts ≡ 1 mm, 40960 counts ≡ 360°) The method for programming the spatial movements of the delivery head and the mandrel rotations is the Contour Mode (CM). CM allows any arbitrary position curve to be prescribed for up to 4 axes, which is ideal for following user-defined profiles. Besides, the path is not limited to straight lines or arc segments, and its length may be infinite. A contour is described by position increments programmed versus time. In CM, motion is generated through displacements stated in rectangular coordinates $\Delta$X (axial), $\Delta$Y (traverse), $\Delta$Z (elevation) and one angular displacement $\Delta$W completed over time intervals of magnitude 2^{t} [ms]} (t is a Natural number, 1 <= t <= 8). The controller performs linear interpolations between the specified increments every millisecond keeping the computer-driven element as close to the programmed path as possible.
