This dataset was collected using a new measurement scale to assess 21st-century character in vocational school students. This data collection aimed to validate the new instrument and propose valid items to assess the character of selected students. 19 teachers from four vocational schools agreed to participate in the data collection. The collected data was analyzed using exploratory factor analysis (EFA).

Steps to reproduce

The measurement instrument was developed based on the Strategic Plan of the Indonesian Ministry of Education regarding character education, Kohlberg's theory of moral reasoning, and dimensions of character education according to Bialik. A total of 19 vocational school teachers were involved in data collection. Validity is measured using expert judgment and exploratory factor analysis (EFA). From this process, 18 items were determined for the 21st-century character assessment instrument for vocational students.
