Airway Epithelial Transcriptome in Lung Transplant Recipients with Cystic Fibrosis and/or Pseudomonas

Description

Lung transplant recipients with cystic fibrosis were found to tolerate Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection better than non-CF individuals. We hypothesized that differences in airway immune responses might relate to these more favorable outcomes. We prospectively collected airway brushes from lung transplant recipients with PsA+ cultures from 9 CF and 6 non-CF individuals. These were matched 1:1 with PsA- cases, and we performed next-generation RNA sequencing to evaluate the host transcriptome. RNA was sequenced using Illumina-based next generation sequencing and count data are supplied as a GEO-format count matrix. We also cultured airway epithelial cells and performed differential DNA methylation analysis using the Infinium HumanMethylation450 BeadChip. The data are included here as in EPIC report format.
