Indian Currency Dataset
Description
The dataset includes a total of 1,786 images of Indian currency notes from all seven denominations. As the Government of India made changes to Indian currency notes in recent years, there are two different types of notes for certain denominations. The valid Indian currency notes in this dataset are old and new 10-rupee notes, old and new 20-rupee notes, old and new 50-rupee notes, old and new 100-rupee notes, new 200-rupee notes, new 500-rupee notes, and new 2000-rupee notes. The images were captured using a mobile phone camera in various backgrounds and lighting conditions and from different angles. No image augmentation was performed on this dataset. Steps to reproduce
The dataset was made for the project- Currency detection for the visually impaired using edge devices. This dataset can be useful the researchers who are working on currency-related problems like currency classification and counterfeit currency detection.
