Description

As an orphan nuclear receptor with unknown ligand. estrogen-related receptors (ERRs) are involved in the complex signal transduction system of estrogen, and ERRs may also play a regulatory role in the occurrence and development of hormone-dependent diseases such as breast cancer and osteoporosis. But so far, there is no report about the expression, localization and function of ERRs in the development and maturation process of nervous system. In the present study, we detected the expression and localization of ERRs in the nervous system of adult and embryonic rats. The results showed that the expression of ERRs exhibited dynamic changes in both time and space in growth and development process of brain and spinal cord. This study systematically showed the expression status of ERRs in the nervous system of adult and embryonic rats, which provided an important morphological basis for the in-depth study of the function of ERRs.
