Description

The relationship between multiple intelligences and academic performance looks at how Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, which identifies various types of intelligence, affects students' success in academic settings. Gardner proposed that intelligence is not a single entity but consists of various dimensions, including linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, musical, bodily kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic intelligence. Each student may excel in one or more of these intelligences, which influences how they learn and perform in school.

The dataset was collected from Home Economics students in Ghana using a structured questionnaire based on Howard Gardner’s multiple-intelligence theory. The questionnaire assessed students' multiple intelligences, including linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic. Academic achievement data were gathered from the students' academic records, focusing on core Home Economics subjects. Data were collected during the 2023 academic year, and consent was obtained from students and school authorities. The dataset can be reproduced by following the same procedure and ensuring that the academic achievement data are representative of the subjects studied in Home Economics.
