Experimental data for "Barchan dune response to a pair of obstacles"
Description
This dataset contains experimental videos and associated metadata from the study "Barchan dune response to a pair of obstacles". The experiments were performed in a controlled water channel, where subaqueous barchan dunes composed of granular particles migrate under steady flow conditions and interact with a pair of fixed obstacles. The experimental dataset systematically explores the effect of obstacle spacing on dune dynamics, with configurations covering a range of distances between the obstacles. The recorded videos capture distinct interaction regimes, including bypass, transitional, and channeled behaviors, providing direct visualization of the coupled dune-obstacle system. In addition to the videos, the dataset includes metadata describing experimental conditions such as flow parameters, grain properties, and geometric configurations, enabling reproducibility and further quantitative analysis of dune-obstacle interactions.
