Description

Supplemental Methods The study utilized the TriNetX US Collaborate Network to identify melanoma patients diagnosed between 2009-2019. Propensity matching was performed to create three melanoma cohorts (stages I, II, III/IV) and two control cohorts (basal cell carcinoma, hypertension treated with lisinopril). Patients with pre-diagnosis psychological outcomes were excluded. Supplemental Table Outcome measures included risk ratios for anxiety, depression, and antidepressant prescriptions at 3, 12, and 36 months post-melanoma diagnosis across melanoma stages, compared to controls.
