The pandemic COVID-19 is widely regarded as the world's most challenging health crisis. The novel coronavirus has lost huge lives, jobs, and opportunities worldwide. It has affected and continues to affect every segment of the population. This pandemic forced educational industry to move to virtual mode for teaching and learning using various Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In the second week of March 2020, India temporarily decided to close schools and colleges. According to the situation there is still insecurity that when the schools and colleges will again reopen. In this situation WhatsApp plays a vital role in educational sector Where students and teachers can have frequent interaction. In addition, teachers can share all the study materials, assignment without facing any difficulty. Therefore, it has become one of the most important online platforms in educational sector. the data were collected through collages and schools in India through the online survey Questionnaires. when our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has declared first lockdown due to which student could not continue their journey of learning in offline mode. The researchers have tried to assess the impact of online classes and the student’s effort to learn online using sample-size surveys of xyz. And the questionnaire has divided into four categories first one is Opinion on teaching based on information technology and communications (ICT), second Changes in ICT communication behaviour with WhatsApp, third the major obstacle to integration of ICT in the teaching/learning process (Information Communication Technology) and lastly disadvantages of using ICT for teaching and learning.
