This this questionaire and the subsquent excel dataset assess the capacity and the role of environmental non-governmental organizations in environmental impact assessments for industries (both processing and manufacturing) in the central region of Uganda which is the industrial hub of the country. This research is part of a PhD study at the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of Earth and Climate Sciences. This is just part of the main PhD research thesis titled; "Stakeholder's capacity, institutional and regulatory framework and influence on the implementation of EIA follow-up in central Uganda's industries". The objectives of this research were; 1. To assess the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the institutional and regulatory framework for EIA in Uganda for the last 24 years. 2. Assess the Capacity of key categories of EIA stakeholders (environmental NGOs, local governments and potential affected communities) and the performance of their expected roles in the EIA process. 3. Assess the implementation of EIA follow-up in Central Uganda’s processing and manufacturing industries. Materials and Methods Each of the above objectives employed different materials and objectives.
