Description

This repository contains the extracted dataset and analysis code used in the meta-analysis of bluetongue virus infection in sheep and goats in China (2005–2025). The dataset includes study-level information such as sample size, number of positive cases, prevalence, geographic location, host species, and diagnostic methods. The R script reproduces all analyses including pooled prevalence estimation, heterogeneity assessment, subgroup analysis, funnel plot, Egger’s test, and meta-regression. All analyses were performed using R (meta package).

Steps to reproduce

Import the extracted dataset (Excel file). Transform prevalence using Freeman–Tukey double arcsine method. Conduct random-effects meta-analysis using the R meta package. Generate forest plots and funnel plots. Perform Egger’s test for publication bias. Conduct subgroup analysis and meta-regression. Visualize temporal and regional variation in prevalence.
