This dataset provides the processed (spreadsheets) and raw (abaqus 2017 input files) files of a parametric study with the aim of optimising the design of a type I pressure vessel for ultra-deep ocean exploration. Three different materials (Al 7075, Ti-6Al-4V, and Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al) and two desings (spherical and cylindrical) of type I pressure vessels were modelled with linear buckling analysis followed by nonlinear buckling analysis (Riks method) accounting for geometry defects up to 2.5 mm.
