Sandro MachadoDescription
The results of column tests performed on samples of a clayey compacted soil permeated by petroleum produced water (PPW) are presented. All of the tested samples presented a permeability decrease over time due to the occurrence of clay dispersion. Breakthrough curves obtained for total hydrocarbon petroleum (TPH) presented evidence of biological decay, and soil samples were submitted to biological characterization (Methagenomic analyses and traditional cultural media tests) after column tests.
