Description

The multiple proxy data from the Tso Moriri Lake, Ladakh, India shows an abrupt weakening of the Indian summer monsoon at around 4350 yrs BP which lasted at least upto 3450 yrs BP. This prolonged dry phase of the summer monsoon largely impacted agriculture of the region and triggered displacement of population of Indus civilization towards eastward.
