Description

The data included in this file are related to the condensation of refrigerant R-600a during forced convection condensation inside horizontal smooth and coiled wire inserted tubes. The plots of these results are also illustrated in the paper entitled "An experimental study on condensation heat transfer characteristics of R-600a in tubes with coiled wire inserts" which is submitted for the Journal of Applied Thermal Engineering. The presented results are as follows: 1) A comparison of heat transfer coefficients obtained by experiments and the correlations for smooth tubes. 2) Variations of heat transfer coefficients with vapor qualities for different mass velocities and different coiled wire inserted tubes. 3) The boundary of heat transfer increase with coiled wire index under different operational conditions.
