Description

The data of this research were obtained from Turkish teachers working in state secondary schools in the province of Siirt, Turkey for the opinions of teachers about the distance education process in Turkish teaching. The data of the study were collected through interviews, one of the qualitative research data collection methods. In this context, semi-structured interview forms were used. In order to preserve the originality of the researcher data, the files whose data language is Turkish were uploaded to the system. Data obtained from the research; codes, categories and themes were created and reflected in the findings. Research data; Teachers' Opinions on Distance Education in Teaching Basic Language Skills, Teachers' Views on the Practices Used in Distance Education, Teachers' Views on the Benefits of Distance Education, Teachers' Views on the Problems Encountered in Distance Education, and Teachers' Views on Solving the Problems Encountered in Distance Education and Presented in the article. Within the scope of the research findings; In the distance education activities in Turkish teaching, the studies on listening, speaking and reading skills have been fruitful, but there are deficiencies in the field of writing skills; It was concluded that students' not having equal opportunities and lack of technological infrastructure hinders the distance education process, but students who have these conditions have increased their interest in Turkish lessons.
