Description

This dataset contains three sets of numerical simulations for the response of a bridge due to moving loads. The first set, named "Validation", comprises a simplified dataset to work for validation purposes. It is defined by the multiplication of axle weights and the theoretical influence line for a simply supported single girder bridge. An additive noise is added to the resulting signal. The second dataset, named "ValidationQoIVariability" , includes an inherent variability to some bridge properties (the product between elastic and section modulus is assumed to follow a lognormal distribution). Both examples are simulated considering just a single vehicle, moving at distinct speeds. Finally, the dataset named as "BridgeModel" presents a set of vehicle-bridge interaction dynamic simulation for a 15m simply supported single girder bridge according to the Euler-Bernoulli beam model. A total of 8 distinct vehicles are simulated, with 50 simulations at distinct speeds for each of them . Again, an inherent variability is considered for the bridge properties, however employing a normal distribution. The midpoint strains are available for each simulation. The units of all values are in SI.
