Description

The data set includes raw data of 180 cardiogenic shock patients from Dresden Impella Registry, who received a left ventricular unloading with a micro-axial percutaneous left ventricular assist device (pLVAD). In detail, baseline characteristics, such as, age, weight, height, pre-existing diseases, characteristics of coronary artery disease, characteristics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and hemodynamic parameter are provided. Furthermore, hemodynamic and laboratory parameters of clinical course and survival data are given. The data set enables the calculation of most important severity of illness scores. We showed an overestimation of intrahospital mortality predicted by APACHE II score in various subgroups of cardiogenic shock patients treated with a pLVAD. Due to this data set, we adjusted APACHE II score resulting in a more accurate prediction of mortality.
