Description

Data products collected in support of a project to quantify beach change and link changes to environmental drivers. Currently pending publication. This dataset contains 2 years of approximately weekly beach surveys of the Royal Hawaiian beach, Waikīkī. Data files for each survey include 1) processed 0.5 m resolution Digital Elevation Models obtained from High resolution point clouds (UAS) coupled with traditional total station surveys. 2) A text file containing points collected at the seaward edge of the beach (Low water mark) every ≈10 m. Spatial reference is WGS84 UTM zone4N, vertical datum is local mean sea level. Files are named by date of survey in the format YYYYMMDD_dataproduct. Shapefiles include bounding boxes and vectors used in this study; including beach cross-shore transects, beach and nearshore segments (masks), and a landward boundary.
