Description

This dataset was prepared for the article "The Optomotor Response of Aging Zebrafish Reveals a Complex Relationship between Visual Motion Characteristics and Cholinergic System". The main aim of the article was to investigate age-related changes in the motion detection of aging zebrafish (wild-type/AB-strain and achesb55/+). The dataset contains the optomotor responses of zebrafish to drifting gratings (i.e., first-order motion) with different contrast and spatial frequency levels. These responses were presented in the contour plots of Figure 2 and explained in the main text of the article. Overall, the findings suggested that contrast and spatial frequency has a significant effect on the optomotor responses, and in the contrast domain, the changes in the responses are dependent on the age and genotype of the zebrafish.
