A dataset of seasonal fluctuations of molluscan populations from the southern Gulf of California subtropical arid zone.
Description
The tables present a dataset of seasonal fluctuations of molluscan populations from the southern Gulf of California subtropical arid zone; data were collected from May 2016 to May 2017. The data sets are raw data and are contained in four Excel files, which are presented as follows: i) Table S1.xls containing two spreadsheets, the first Table S1a provides information about abiotic data (date, season, rainfall, temperature, pH, salinity); the second Table S1b exhibit data sets of biotic data (data, season, core number, measurements of organic matter and chlorophyll a); ii) Table S2.xls presents the seasonal biomass values of seagrass (Halodule wrightii) and molluscan (date, season, core number, biomass leaves, biomass rhizome and roots, total biomass of seagrass, total number of molluscs, total weight of molluscs); iii) Table S3.xls presents the seasonal abundance and trophic levels of molluscan estimated from 10 sampling cores (Taxonomic group, species, trophic levels, seasons, total number of individuals by species); and iv) Table S4.xls provides information on the taxonomic classification of molluscan from phylum to species, including taxonomic authority and commercial importance.
